# Terms of Service — Telybot > The agreement between your business and Telybot for the Telybot assistant. - URL: https://telybot.com/terms - Last updated: 2026-10-07 ## Terms of Service The agreement between your business and Telybot. - Last updated: 7 October 2026 - Effective: 7 October 2026 - Document: Service agreement > These terms cover **Telybot** — the assistant you put in front of your customers. They apply to the business account and its bot only; accepting them creates no other account and signs you up to nothing else. ### 1. The Service Telybot provides a hosted AI assistant ("the Bot") that answers questions from your customers using knowledge you supply — your website, documents, saved answers and business details — together with a dashboard to train and monitor it, a website widget, a shareable bot link and QR code, a WordPress plugin, and libraries for embedding the Bot in Android, iOS, React Native, Flutter and Ionic apps. If you switch them on, it also shows a catalogue of what you sell, lets your customers place orders and request bookings in the chat, gives you Orders and Bookings screens to manage them, and alerts your team to new ones by email and WhatsApp (together, "the Service"). The Service is operated by Telybot ("we", "our", "us"). You must be at least 18 years old and authorised to enter into this agreement on behalf of the business you register ("you", "your business"). If you register on behalf of an employer or client, you confirm you have authority to bind them. ### 2. Your account You sign in with a phone number or a Google account. You are responsible for keeping access to that phone number and Google account secure, and for everything done through your account. You may invite colleagues and assign them roles. Every member you invite can act within the permissions of their role, and you remain responsible for what they do. Remove members who should no longer have access — we cannot know when someone leaves your business. ### 3. Early access, plans and fees Every business starts on **early access**: free, no card required, and it includes **200 AI answers each month**. You can stay on it indefinitely. When you need more than the free allowance you may buy a plan from the **Plan** screen in your dashboard. The plans and their prices are published on our [pricing page](https://telybot.com/pricing). Buying one is always your choice: we will never charge a card without you completing a payment yourself. **Currency.** Businesses billing from India are charged in Indian Rupees (INR); businesses billing from anywhere else are charged in US Dollars (USD). Your billing country is shown on the Plan screen and you can correct it there before you buy. Prices are exclusive of taxes unless stated otherwise, and any tax that applies is shown before you pay. **How payment works.** Each payment covers **one month** and is charged in advance. We do not store your card, and we do not take a recurring mandate: nothing is charged automatically, and you renew by choosing to pay again. If you renew before your month is up, the new month is added to the end of the one you have — you never lose days you have paid for. Payments are processed by **Razorpay**; card details go to them and never reach our servers. Cancellation and refunds are covered in our [Cancellation & Refund Policy](https://telybot.com/refunds). ### 4. Your answer allowance Each plan includes a number of AI-generated answers per month. An "answer" is a reply our AI produced — including a question it read and could not answer, because that consumes the same work. Replies served directly from an answer you saved yourself are not counted, and continue to work even after you reach your limit. If you reach your monthly allowance, **the Bot stops generating new answers and tells customers it is taking a break, rather than running up a bill you did not agree to**. Your dashboard shows this and offers the plans; buying one raises the allowance immediately. The count resets on the 1st of each month (UTC). If a paid plan lapses without being renewed, the allowance returns to the free 200 a month. Nothing else about your account changes — your knowledge, saved answers and conversations stay exactly as they are. We may apply reasonable technical rate limits to protect the Service, including a daily ceiling on AI-generated answers of one fifth of your monthly allowance (never fewer than 50), after which the Bot rests until the next day. These are documented in [Limits and security](https://telybot.com/docs/reference-limits). ### 5. Your content **Your content remains yours.** Your website text, documents, saved answers, business details and your customers' conversations with your Bot belong to you. You grant us only the licence needed to host, index and process that content in order to operate the Service for you — and for nothing else. You confirm that you have the right to supply the content you upload, and that it does not infringe anyone's rights. **We do not train shared or general-purpose models on your content.** Your content improves your Bot only. We do not mix your knowledge with another business's, and nothing from the Keyda keyboard product reaches your Bot or vice versa. ### 6. Your customers' data When your customers chat with your Bot, those conversations — and the details they give to place an order or request a booking — are your business record. In data protection terms **you are the controller and we are your processor**. Our obligations as processor are set out in our [Data Processing Agreement](https://telybot.com/dpa), which forms part of these terms and applies automatically — you do not need to sign anything separately for it to apply. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you are the data fiduciary and we are your data processor. You are responsible for telling your customers that they are talking to an automated assistant; for giving them your own privacy notice, any notice or consent the law requires for what the widget stores in their browser, and the seller details the law requires of you (your legal name, address, complaints contact, and your cancellation and refund terms); and for having a lawful basis for the data you collect through it. ### 7. Orders, bookings and alerts These features are off until you switch them on, and this section applies once you do. **You are the seller.** Every order and booking placed through your Bot is an agreement between you and your customer. Telybot is not a party to it: we do not sell or supply anything to your customers, and we do not act as your agent or as a marketplace. You are responsible for your prices, taxes and charges, for supplying what you accept, for cancellations, refunds and complaints, and for the information and licences the law requires of a seller where you trade, including under consumer-protection rules. **No payments.** The Service does not take payment for orders or bookings. Your customers pay you directly, by whatever means you choose. **Prices and what binds.** An order is priced from your published catalogue at the moment it is placed, and the order or booking card your customer is shown — its lines, total, time and status — is the record of what was asked for. Keep your catalogue accurate: an AI-written reply can still be wrong (section 9), and the card, not the reply, is what the order says. A booking request becomes a booking when you confirm it, or at once if you choose to confirm every booking automatically. You decide whether to accept an order, and you may reject or cancel one with a reason your customer can read. **What you must not sell this way.** Do not take orders or bookings for anything that is unlawful to sell where you sell it, or that the law allows only with checks the chat cannot make — such as prescription medicines or goods restricted by age — unless you make those checks yourself before you supply anything. **Alerts.** We tell you about new orders and bookings on your dashboard and by email and, for each team member who switches them on, by WhatsApp to the phone number that member signs in with. Alerts are a convenience, not a guarantee: a carrier or provider can delay or lose a message, and daily limits apply. Keep an eye on your Orders and Bookings screens — answering your customers in time remains your responsibility. A member can switch WhatsApp alerts off at any time. **Limits.** To protect you and the Service from abuse, we limit how many orders and bookings a Bot takes, as described in [Limits and security](https://telybot.com/docs/reference-limits). ### 8. Acceptable use You must not use the Service to: - impersonate another business, person or public body; - publish content that is unlawful, defamatory, hateful, or that harasses or endangers anyone; - give medical, legal, financial or other professional advice that requires a qualified human, without appropriate human oversight and disclosure; - collect payment card numbers, passwords, government identifiers or other sensitive credentials through the Bot; - upload content you do not have the right to use, or personal data you have no lawful basis to process; - attempt to extract our prompts or models, resell the Service as your own AI platform, or circumvent limits, metering or access controls; - take orders or bookings you do not intend to honour, or use them to collect personal data for any other purpose; - send automated traffic to the Bot that is not a genuine customer conversation. We may suspend a Bot, or its orders and bookings, that we reasonably believe is being used this way. Where the issue is not an emergency we will contact you first. ### 9. What AI can and cannot do The Bot generates answers from the knowledge you give it. Like all such systems it can be wrong, incomplete or confidently mistaken, and it may not reflect changes you have not yet made to your sources. **You are responsible for what your Bot tells your customers.** Before going live, test it on the questions your customers actually ask. For anything that must be exactly right — prices, hours, policies, safety information — use saved answers, which are served verbatim rather than generated. The dashboard's unanswered list exists so you can correct the Bot as real questions arrive. ### 10. Availability and changes We aim to keep the Service available and to give notice before disruptive changes, but during early access we do not offer a service level guarantee. Response commitments on the Scale plan, where offered, are stated in writing. The Service depends on third-party AI providers. If a provider fails we fall back to another where we can, but an answer may be delayed or unavailable. We may change these terms. If a change materially affects your rights we will give notice by email or in the dashboard before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the change. ### 11. Suspension and termination You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your business from the dashboard. Deleting a business permanently removes its sources, saved answers, conversations, catalogue, orders and bookings and the assistant itself. That is not recoverable, which is the point — export anything you need first. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, that we are legally required to act on, or that poses a security risk to others. Except where the law requires otherwise or the breach is severe, we will tell you why and give you a chance to fix it. ### 12. Liability Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Subject to that: the Service is provided "as is"; we exclude implied warranties to the extent the law allows; we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost business or lost data; and our total liability arising out of or in connection with the Service in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or ₹10,000. During early access, when you pay us nothing, that cap is ₹10,000. ### 13. Indemnity You will indemnify us against claims brought by a third party arising from content you supplied, from your use of the Service in breach of section 8, from the goods and services you supply — including through orders and bookings taken by your Bot — or from your failure to meet your own obligations as data controller. ### 14. General These terms, together with the [Data Processing Agreement](https://telybot.com/dpa), the [Privacy Policy](https://telybot.com/privacy) and the [Cancellation & Refund Policy](https://telybot.com/refunds), are the whole agreement between us about the Service. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. Our not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. You may not assign this agreement without our consent; we may assign it to a successor to our business. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from them. ### 15.
