## Install on any website

Adding Telybot to a website is one line of code, pasted just before the closing `</body>` tag. It works on any site, whatever it is built with, and needs no plugin.

Your key is on the **Install** page of your dashboard. It starts with `kb_live_`.

### Where to paste it

Anywhere in the page will work, but just before `</body>` is best — the assistant then loads after your own content and never slows your page down.

If your site has a "footer code", "custom scripts" or "before body end" box in its settings, that box is exactly the right place.

### Check it worked

1. Open your website in a new tab.
2. You should see a chat button in the bottom corner.
3. Back in the dashboard, the Install page shows **Installed on yourdomain.com** once the widget has loaded from your site.

If the button does not appear, see [limits and security](https://telybot.com/docs/reference-limits) — the usual cause is that your bot is still in draft, or your domain list does not include the site you are testing on.

### Change how it looks

In **Install → Appearance** you can set:

- the accent colour (must be a hex colour like `#3b4ee0`)
- which corner the button sits in
- the button label and the greeting

### Put the chat inside your page instead

If you would rather the chat sat inside a page — a "Support" page, say — add an empty container anywhere and the widget fills it instead of floating:

> Give the container a height. Without one it has nothing to fill and collapses.
