# AI visibility: is AI recommending you? — Telybot docs - URL: https://telybot.com/docs/guide-visibility - Last updated: 2026-10-12 ## AI visibility: is AI recommending you? When a customer asks ChatGPT, Gemini or another assistant "best dental clinic near Indiranagar", the answer names a few businesses. **Grow** tells you whether one of them is yours, which sites the assistants trusted for that answer, and what to change when you are missing. It lives in the dashboard under **Grow → AI visibility**. ### What it measures Each scan puts your questions to every AI assistant we can reach with live web search — ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Claude and Grok — exactly as a customer would ask them. Each answer is kept with the sources it cited. From those answers: | Number | Meaning | | --- | --- | | **Visibility** | The share of answers that name you. | | **Share of voice** | Your mentions as a share of every brand mentioned. | | **Average position** | When you are named, your order among the brands named. 1 is first. | | **Used as a source** | The share of answers whose sources include your own website. | An answer is one assistant's reply to one question on one day. Every number is shown against the previous period of the same length. ### Getting started 1. **Questions.** Open Grow → Questions and take the suggestions, or write your own the way a customer would ask them: "best bakery in Koramangala", "where can I get a root canal in Pune". Your plan sets how many questions are tracked. 2. **Brands.** Under Grow → Brands, add the competitors you want compared and any other spelling of your own name. Check the city and country, which the assistants use for local search. 3. **Switch on the scan**, on the Overview. The free plan scans weekly; paid plans daily. **Scan now** runs one immediately. 4. A few minutes later the Overview fills in: a line per day for you and the brands that beat you, the brands table, each assistant on its own, and the questions you lose. ### Sources Grow → Sources lists every website the assistants cited: the most cited, the new and rising ones, and what kind of site each is — a marketplace like Justdial or Zomato, a community like Reddit, an editorial site, a competitor, or you. If your own site is never cited, that is the first thing to fix: assistants quote pages that state facts plainly. ### Website check Grow → Website check reads your website the way a crawler does — the home page, `robots.txt`, the sitemap and up to six inner pages — and scores it out of 100. It looks for the things that decide whether a page can be found and quoted: HTTPS, a title and description, one main heading, a mobile viewport, structured data (LocalBusiness, FAQPage), whether `robots.txt` blocks the crawlers that feed AI search, a sitemap, an `llms.txt`, alt text on images, enough text, and whether Telybot is installed. ### What to fix Grow → What to fix turns the check and the scans into a ranked list: - **Technical** — from the website check, with how to do each one. - **Content** — questions where no assistant names you, or names a competitor instead, with the page to write; and "make your site citable" when nothing cites you. - **Off-site** — the sites the assistants cite that you are missing from. Mark each one done or dismissed; the list rebuilds after every check and scan, and remembers what you decided. Export it as CSV to hand to whoever runs your website. ### What is sent where The assistants receive the question, your business's name, city and country — nothing about your customers, your chats or your orders. The website check fetches only the address you give it (or your business website), never a private address. See [Your data](https://telybot.com/docs/privacy).
